stepping out in faith...

Tonight, I lay awake in Pinedale, Wyoming and about a million things are running through my mind.  Starting with how will ends meet, what classes am I going to take, I need to go running, should I call or email them, I hope they don't call me, where will I be a year from now, where will I been five years from now, will I be single the rest of my life, am I going to be a teacher in an orphanage like I dream?  Wow!  If you know any of the above answers, please give me a call.
Deanna and I went to a concert at her church, which was pretty good.  I find myself with a critical spirit toward some things more then I would ever hope for.  At the concert I got to meet some of Deanna's friends and friends of Greg.  (That's a whole other long story!)  Anyway, at the concert, about six songs in, the lead singer said something like, "I don't want to make this uncomfortable, but I want to you to take a step out in your faith and step forward to the stage.  By taking a step up, you are saying here I am God!"  Is that stepping out on faith?  When someone says to or people around you are moving?  This in not the way that Kaitlyn Manzer functions and I actually went out for a little while.  One to blow my constantly dripping nose and two to cry over what a critical spirit I have acquired.  How has it come to this?  I honestly can say that I had a more critical spirit in earlier years, but it is starting to sneak back up on me and I don't like it one bit.  I want to rid myself of it, but that is nothing I can do.  God needs to strip me of that.  Something to think about:  what do YOU need to let GOD strip from you?

All things considered I want to leave you with happier trip highlights:
*  After countless, stressful hours of traveling I am here...holding my nephew!
*  It has been really relaxing thus far.
*  God is opening my eyes to things that have been masked with business.
*  I have listened to a ton of Spanish music.
*  I am venturing and listening...

besties!

A few years ago I remember crying with my mom because I didn't have friends to hang out on the weekends with.  Looking back on those times, I would cry every night if it meant having the most amazing friends that I now have!  A girl couldn't as for more amazing friends.  God has blessed me greatly in the past few years.  From friends I've meet at camp to my new job, friends from across the ocean to friends in my backyard I didn't know were there (not really backyard, just Muskegon.)

My closest friends I will be apart for the summer, but we know that we will be together for the next year (we are getting an apartment.)  This summer is going to be full of growing and new friends.  Through all the pain will be much strength.  I am excite for what God has in store for me!
